SHELTER MANAGER
(FULL-TIME POSITION) Job description: Under the direct supervision of the Shelter Director, the Shelter Manager is responsible for provisions of shelter monitoring and supervision of Shelter Crisis Advocates (4). Must also provide direct services to victims of domestic violence. Schedule to include weekend and night hours on a semi-regular basis. Must participate in on-call rotation schedule. Supervisory and management experience a plus.
Minimum qualifications:
-Associates degree in human services preferred and/or two years experience in domestic violence services.
-Ability to work autonomously and part of a team and to supervise and coordinate the work of others effectively.
-Ability to establish positive working relationships with residents, staff and community support resources.
-Ability to express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
-Bi-lingual preference in Navajo and English.
-Clear understanding of crisis intervention and ability to manage others in a crisis.
-Must obtain or possess a fingerprint clearance card in accordance with ARS 36-3008 & 46-141
LEAD SHELTER CRISIS ADVOCATE
: (1 FULL-TIME POSITION) Job Description
: The Lead Shelter Crisis Advocate is responsible for providing direct services to victims of domestic violence. The Lead Shelter Crisis Advocate must be knowledgeable in the area of domestic violence and advocacy and carry out details related to the responsibility of ensuring direct quality services to families receiving services in our shelter. The Lead Shelter Crisis Advocate will also ensure the safety and protection of residents and shelter facility. Position requires flexibility with hours and days of work. Minimum Qualifications
-Associate of Applied Science Degree or High School diploma with experience in domestic violence services or volunteering and working with victims.
-Awareness and familiarity with community resources and support systems.
-Ability to work with families in crisis.
-Ability to maintain working relationships with clients, associates and community agencies.
-Ability to communicate well, verbally and grammatically.
-Navajo and English speaking preferred.
-Must obtain or possess a fingerprint clearance card in accordance with ARS 36-3008 & 46-141
